Draft recommended changes to the Forest Resources Act and Regulation

This document details the proposed changes to the Forest Resources Act and Regulation. It also gives the rationale for each change. This is part of the Forest Resources Act review.

Since the working group last met, the Government of Yukon has been working to provide industry with support to address firewood supply challenges. Although firewood supply is not directly captured in these recommendations, the amendments address many forest sector aspects and may support timber supply access. We welcome your feedback on these draft recommended changes.
