The Family Resource Unit provides supports for all Yukon families and caregivers with children age 19 and under.
Family resource workers will help you support your child's healthy growth and development. They can also help you build on your strengths and face the challenges that come with being a caregiver.
What can the Family Resource Unit do for you?
The Family Resource Unit understands that every family is unique. Our services are tailored to meet your family's needs with culture in mind.
Our workers can meet with you in your home or community to:
- talk about parenting and your family;
- show you fun activities to try with your child;
- connect you with community resources or events; and
- identify your family's goals and find supports that can help you reach them.
Is there a fee?
The Family Resource Unit's services are free to Yukoners who care for a child under 19 years old.
