Contractors have to submit an application and all design drawings before an elevator or other fixed conveyance is installed.
To do so:
- Fill out the application for certificate of construction and major alteration.
- Submit it along with the completed design drawings.

Whitehorse, Yukon Y1A 2C6 - We review the design drawings to ensure they meet the elevating construction codes (CSA-B44 and CSA B-355). If they do, they are then registered.
Arrange for an inspection
Before you can set up an inspection, you must first confirm you’ve completed the appropriate inspection preparations. Complete and submit the Installers declaration of completion.
Elevators are inspected after installation, major repair or alteration. They are also inspected periodically while in service.
